![]() I warn everyone not to deal with this dealership. This dealership should not be allowed to operate in this fashion and in my opinion should have their dealership license revoked. With that I contacted AMEX, since he and his dealership are untrustworthy liars and filed a complaint. I told him this is extortion and argued with him, then hung up after I told him I am not paying $85k over sticker price. He said unless I was willing to pay that overage, he was refunding my deposit. The Thursday before, Mahe called me back and told me they were refunding my deposit because the manager decided to sell them for $85,000 over MSRP. He told me that the following Monday, Mahe would be able to configure the car with me for the options available and order the vehicle. I explained what happened and told him I was still sticking with the deal we had at that point. **** finally called me back and `questioned me about the refund. In the interim the other dealership called me back and told me they made a mistake and that all their allocation was sold. I spoke to a salesperson and explained the situation and said I wanted to speak to **** about a refund of my deposit if he was still sticking to the $50,000 over. ![]() With that reveal the next day I received a call from another dealership telling me they had allocation, and they would sell me one for $10,000 over MSRP. His dealership was allocated seven vehicles. It is called the Dodge Challenger Demon 170. He had me sign a ********** sales receipt and forwarded me an AMEX receipt and dealership receipt. The next day I paid $10,000 with my **************** card to secure a vehicle if his dealership was allocated one. He then offered to hold a spot for allocation for $50,000 over MSRP, which I agreed to. A couple of minutes later he called me back and said that his dealership is not into gambling with reference to whether or not they will receive allocation or how limited production cars will be produced, which would make it more valuable. I told him that was way too much to pay over sticker and got off the phone with him. He told me he would reserve one of these specialty muscle cars for a $10,000 deposit and $100,000 over MSRP if the dealership received allocation. It was going to be revealed by FCA/Dodge on Main *********. I left without getting a thorough understanding of the car workings (Curtis tried) I was too beat to understand and wanted to just drive away.īottom line, I really like the car (wish it had the features of the car that I couldn’t get) but maybe next Subaru.Ī 4.75 hour process is much too long especially when I had it pretty narrowed down.On MaI contacted Lasher's Elk Grove Dodge dealership inquiring about a "Last Call #7" edition Dodge Challenger. My test drive was short, only one car, took me 30 minutes to decide which car, my credit was great, there was no issues about financing. I arrived at 12:45 pm and did not leave until 5:30pm. I knew I would be leaving with a new car. I arrived at the dealership ready to test drive, buy and drive away. It is with the kindest of my heart that I provide this feedback for him to hone this skill more and offer less banter. ![]() Curtis does have the ability to listen to customers and read their needs and wants. It was of no interest to me how many cars Lashers sold in a month, his past jobs etc. He was able to guide my selection without forcing or talking me into it.Ĭurtis will do well to limit/refrain from unrelated small talk to shorten the overall car buying time. When the car I wanted was not available (previously reserved by another party prior to my appointment) Curtis was able to describe the other 3 available vehicle options and explain their differences. Very knowledgeable about vehicle features and had rock bottom costs quickly available. Appreciated prompt response from Curtis via email with no haggle costs.
